The Wonky Carrot
Our origin story
The Wonky Carrot started in 2017 as a question – how can we make sustainability easy and accessible? Our business was simple: find sustainable products from local suppliers and start a travelling market stall.
From beeswax wraps to metal straws, we had it all!

Why The Wonky Carrot?
2.4 billion kilograms of produce is rejected by supermarkets each year in Australia – including wonky carrots – carrots still good to eat but don’t pass visual standards.
Our name starts a conversation, and creates a movement.
The Wonky Carrot Homestead
In 2025 The Wonky Carrot Homestead began.
We are a cool-climate, 25-acre Australian property where sustainable gardening meets real-world learning, from no-dig veggie beds to orchard growing.
It’s a hands-on journey of growing fresh food, experimenting with methods, and sharing the wins and lessons along the way.
